Life has a funny way of reshaping itself, doesn’t it? Just when you think you have a plan, the universe nudges you in a different direction. Lately, I’ve been feeling the pull of change—of new beginnings, fresh starts, and maybe even a little adventure.
Oscar and I are settling into life together, and it’s been an exciting time. We joke, we laugh, and sometimes, we get so caught up in our own little world that a single look or word can send us into fits of laughter. It’s funny how the simplest moments—watching Cobra Kai in bed, cooking together, or teasing each other over something ridiculous—can mean so much. It feels easy, it feels right, and for the first time in a long time, I feel truly happy.
We’ve been spending our time doing the things we love—watching movies and TV shows, gardening, reading, learning new things, and listening to music. There’s always something to talk about, something new to discover, and we never run out of ways to enjoy each other’s company. Lately, we’ve also been doing a lot of cleaning and organizing around the house, making it exactly how we want it to be.
And with summer around the corner, we’re getting the backyard ready. The homemade beach area, the gazebo, and my perennial hibiscus and exotic lilies will soon be in full bloom. Jenny and Dolly will have plenty of space to run around, and I can already picture lazy afternoons soaking up the sun, music playing in the background, and nothing but time to enjoy the moment.
There’s still a lot ahead, but for now, I’m just taking things day by day.
