When I brought home Jenny, my sweet Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix, I envisioned calm days filled with cuddles and serene strolls through the backyard. Reality quickly set in when Dolly, the energetic Corgi, entered the scene, turning my peaceful puppy parenting dreams into delightful chaos.
Jenny, my tiny cuddle buddy, tries her best to maintain order, often casting judgmental glances at Dolly’s playful antics. Dolly, on the other hand, believes every moment is a prime opportunity for mischief—stealing socks, digging imaginary treasure holes in my carefully tended garden, and treating furniture as a parkour course.
One particularly memorable afternoon, Dolly enthusiastically “helped” me garden by uprooting several beloved lilies, presenting them proudly at my feet. Meanwhile, Jenny watched from the gazebo, silently judging us both.
Despite the puppy pandemonium, Jenny and Dolly’s bond melts my heart. Their cuddle sessions—when Dolly isn’t using Jenny as a playful chew toy—are nothing short of adorable. Watching them sleep peacefully together almost makes me forget their earlier crimes.

Oscar jokingly calls our puppies “little troublemakers,” but their antics keep us laughing every day. Who knew that tiny paws, wagging tails, and endless mischief could bring so much joy and laughter?
Puppy parenting is full of unexpected adventures, messy moments, and endless love—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
