Cobra Kai Fan Night: Karate Kicks, Commentary, and Couch Comedy

Oscar and I have found our newest guilty pleasure—binge-watching Cobra Kai. As huge fans of the original Karate Kid movies, we’ve embraced our inner karate masters, complete with plenty of sofa-bound “training” sessions and lively commentary.

Our nights usually start out innocent enough: snacks ready, comfy pillows fluffed, and Netflix primed. But by episode two, we’re deep into playful debates about who’s the better sensei—Johnny or Daniel. (Team Johnny here, because who doesn’t love a good redemption arc?)

Oscar’s commentary rivals any comedian. He loves mimicking karate moves, though I remind him that the living room isn’t exactly a dojo, and my favorite lamp definitely isn’t an opponent.

We have our own Cobra Kai rituals, like exaggerated “oh yeah” cheers every time someone lands a dramatic kick. Jenny and Dolly, sensing our excitement, join in by energetically bouncing around, turning our TV nights into chaotic karate comedy.

Between laughs, playful karate chops, and heated debates over fictional karate schools, Cobra Kai nights have quickly become one of our favorite ways to unwind.

Strike first. Strike hard. Binge-watch forever! Read more about Cobra Kai at: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7221388/
